Getting started
Account, organization and what's free.
How do I create an account and an organization?
The account is free and takes a minute. Your organization is the club, league or group that runs the tournaments.
- On the home page click “Get started for free”.
- Choose Organizer and enter the organization's name, your email and a password (at least 8 characters).
- Confirm your email with the link we send you, then log in.
- You're in the admin panel and can create your first tournament right away.
What can I do for free?
The Start package is free forever: one active tournament with up to 8 players or teams, a round-robin league, live scores and a public table for the audience.
For cups and groups, more tournaments, TV screens, sponsors and statistics, choose a paid package or a pass for a single tournament.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Turnamio runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. On a phone you can add it to your home screen and open it like an app. The Android app on Google Play is coming soon.
How do I add more admins or scorekeepers with an account?
The Head Admin invites team members with a link. An Admin creates and runs tournaments; a Scorekeeper only enters results.
- Open Settings → Team and access.
- Choose the role, enter who the invite is for and click “Create link”.
- Send the link. It's valid for 14 days, and once the person opens it and logs in, they're on the team.
Tournaments and fixtures
Creating a tournament, formats and pitches.
How do I create my first tournament?
Everything is on one screen with sensible defaults, so you only need to choose what's being played and the format.
- In the Tournaments menu click “+ New tournament”.
- Choose what's being played: video games (PES, EA FC) or football / futsal.
- Choose the format: league, cup or groups then cup. A name is already suggested.
- Click “Create tournament” and add players or teams. Fixtures are generated automatically.
Which formats are there and how is the table calculated?
League (round robin, one or two legs), cup (knockout; draws go to penalties, or extra time then penalties) and groups then cup.
A win is worth 3 points and a draw 1. On equal points, goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head decide. You can change the points in the tournament rules.
Can I change the rules once the tournament has started?
You can always change the name, date, venue and match length. The tournament type, format and points lock when the first match starts, so the table stays correct.
How do I play on several pitches at once?
With the League package a tournament can run on up to 4 pitches. Each pitch has its own live match, its own screen and its own scorekeeper code, while the table stays shared.
- In the tournament, on the Matches step, click “Add pitches”.
- Click “+ Add pitch” for each pitch.
- Pick a pitch at the top and run the match as usual.
Teams and players
Teams, players, registration by link and the draw.
How do I add teams and players?
In the tournament, on the Entrants step, type the team's name. Click an existing team in the list or create a new one with one click. Next to a team click “+ Add players” to add a crest, players and shirt numbers.
Have a list? Click “Paste a list”, paste the names one per line and add them all at once.
How do coaches register their own teams by link?
For football and futsal tournaments you send one link, and each coach enters their team, crest and players. You just approve.
- In the tournament, on the Entrants step, click “+ Create registration link”.
- Send the link to the coaches or show the QR code.
- When a registration arrives, open it and click “Approve” or “Reject”. An approved team joins the tournament straight away.
How does a player link their profile to an organization?
The player creates a free player profile, searches for the organization and sends a request. Once the organizer accepts, goals, cards and statistics are recorded on their profile, and they add their own photo.
How does the draw work for PES and EA FC nights?
On the Draw step click “Start draw”: a club is drawn from the drum for each player. You can show the draw live on a TV or to the audience by link, or assign clubs by hand.
Live scores
Entering results, scorekeepers and following on a phone.
How do I enter the score during a match?
Click “Start match”, then add goals with + and remove them with −. In football you pick the scorer, and the yellow and red card buttons record cards. The clock has start, pause and stoppage time.
At the end click “End match”. The table, screens and stream update within a second.
How can someone else enter results without an account?
Create a scorekeeper code. That person enters results only for that tournament (or pitch), and the code switches off by itself when the tournament ends.
- In the tournament click the “Scorekeeper” tile.
- Click “+ Create code” and send the link or show the QR code.
- The scorekeeper opens the link or turnamio.com/kod and enters the 6-character code.
What if the internet drops in the hall?
Entering results keeps working. Goals, cards and the clock are saved on the phone and sent automatically as soon as the connection is back. Open the tournament while you still have internet and keep the page open.
How do spectators and parents follow the score?
Send the audience link or show the QR code. The score, table and scorers update by themselves, with no account and nothing to install.
With the Organizer or League package, parents can turn on “Follow a team” and get phone notifications at kick-off, for every goal and at full time.
Screens, scoreboard and streaming
TV, projector, LED scoreboard, OBS and sponsors.
How do I show the scoreboard or table on a TV?
Open the tournament's link on a TV, projector or LED scoreboard. No cables or extra software, and everything updates by itself.
- In the tournament click the “TV & scoreboard” tile.
- Choose a view: scoreboard, table, results, scorers or everything in rotation.
- Scan the QR code with the TV or open the link in the TV's browser and go full screen.
How do I customise the scoreboard?
In Screens & sponsors → Scoreboard you choose the layout, colours, font, background (your own image too), the goal animation and sponsor ads. A live preview is on the right, and “Play test goal” shows the animation.
How do I add the score to a stream in OBS?
The stream overlay has a transparent background, so the score and clock sit on top of the camera picture.
- In “TV & scoreboard” copy the “Stream overlay (OBS)” link.
- In OBS add a Browser source and paste the link.
- Set the size to 1920 × 1080 and start streaming.
How do I show sponsors on the screens?
In Screens & sponsors click “+ Add sponsor” and add a logo, name and link. Logos appear on the TV, scoreboard, live page and stream. With the League package, sponsor ads also sweep across the whole screen from time to time.
Finishing and statistics
PDF, Excel, social images and season statistics.
How do I finish a tournament and download a PDF or Excel file?
On the Finish step check the final table, then download a PDF, a print report with your logo, or an Excel file with all results and scorers. Click “Finish tournament” to lock it; scorekeeper codes stop working. If you need to correct something, click “Unlock”.
How do I make an image for Instagram or WhatsApp?
In the tournament click the “Images” tile, choose the table, a result, scorers or a player card, and the format (post or story). On a phone tap “Share”; on a computer click “Copy image” or “Download”.
Where are the season statistics?
The Statistics menu covers every tournament of the organization: scorers, cards, clubs, champions and head-to-head. You can also pick a single tournament and export everything to Excel or PDF.
Packages and payment
What each package includes and how to pay.
What's the difference between the packages?
Start is free. Pro adds unlimited tournaments, cups and groups, the clock, scorers, cards, social images and PDF. Organizer adds TV screens, sponsors, season statistics, team registration by link and “Follow a team”. League adds the stream overlay, ads that sweep across the screen, up to 4 pitches and priority support.
For a single tournament there are the Tournament Pass and the Full Pass, one-off with no subscription. The full overview is in the Packages section of the home page.
How do I pay for a package?
Package purchases are switching on soon. You'll see the exact price in your currency before buying, and the package applies to the whole organization, on the web and in the app.
If you need a package right away for a tournament that's about to start, message us in the chat and we'll sort it out.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time. The package stays active until the end of the paid period, then the organization moves to the free Start package. Tournaments and results are kept.
What happens to the data after a tournament?
Monthly and yearly packages keep every tournament, result and statistic permanently. With a one-off pass, the data is deleted 48 hours after the tournament ends, so download the PDF or Excel before then.
Account, privacy and security
Password, language, deletion and your data.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the Log in page enter your email and click “Forgot password?”. You'll get an email with a link to set a new one. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or write to us.
How do I change the language?
The language is chosen automatically from the country you open Turnamio in, and you can change it any time in the language menu at the top right. When you're logged in, your choice is saved to your account.
How do I delete my account or data?
Delete a tournament from the tournament list, the organization in Settings → Organization, and your account in Settings → My account → “Delete my account”. Deletion is permanent. Details are on the Account deletion page.
What data do you keep and who can see it?
Only what tournaments need: your account, organization, teams, players and results. We don't sell data, build advertising profiles or use tracking cookies. Everything is described in the Privacy Policy.
